FPG-550 Composite Transmission Gauge
Use:
- The FPG-550 resistance piezoresistive composite transmitter is specifically designed for the precise measurement of both pressure and vacuum within a wide range, from 1×10^-2 to 1.5×10^5 Pa.
- It’s essential to note that this transmitter should not be utilized for measuring flammable or explosive gases that may react under specific atmospheric conditions.
- For optimal performance and accurate readings, the transmitter must be paired with EVP’s control display instrument or other compatible control display instruments.
Performance Principle:
- The FPG-550 composite transmission gauge integrates a resistance (Pirani) heat conduction vacuum gauge with a diffused silicon piezoresistive vacuum gauge.
- While the resistance (Pirani) vacuum gauge is reliable up to atmospheric pressure, it tends to experience drift and instability. On the other hand, the piezoresistive vacuum gauge offers high accuracy and stability but is limited to vacuum measurements below 1.0×10^3 Pa.
- By combining these two sensors, the FPG-550 achieves a wide range and high accuracy in vacuum measurement, ensuring continuous and reliable operation.
- The resistance thermal conductivity sensor provides vacuum measurement output when the pressure is below 1.0×10^3 Pa, while the diffused silicon MES piezoresistive sensor takes over for pressures above this threshold.

- Within the range of 1×10^-2 to 1×10^-1 Pa: Measurement is feasible.
- Repeatability: 5% of reading within the range of 1×10^-1 to 5×10^3 Pa.
- Output Signal (Measurement Signal):
- Voltage Range 1: 1.0 to +10.23 VDC.
- Voltage Range 2: 1.2 to +8.68 VDC.
- Error Signal: Greater than 10.5VDC or 9.5V (indicating filament breakage).
- Minimum Impedance: 10 kΩ.
- Response Time: 100ms.
